Advocate of the People, Joshua E. Matic, takes pride in representing clients of all walks of life, and facing down the tyranny of criminal process, and champions heavily for the rights and entitlements the justice system owes to defendants.

An arrest means potential humiliation, embarassment, loss of dignity let alone the fear of the unknown, and the uncertainty of the legal system to follow.

A conviction means long term if not permanent consequences for job placement, career prospects, and, as previously alluded, one’s image in the community.

Joshua E. Matic, and his team of legal professionals and fellow attorneys at Matic Law Associates, has experience handling thousands if not tens of thousands criminal matters across the State of California, New York and Texas. Both Federal or State, Matic Law Associates are the only choice for Legal Representation, Advocation, and Criminal Defense.

Experiences and Qualifications

As certified law clerk for both the Los Angeles and Orange County District Attorney’s Offices (before becoming a licensed practitioner of the art), Mr. Matic has personally conducted almost one hundred preliminary examinations in general felony matters, including narcotics offenses, domestic battery, and gang related prosecutions (Cal Pen sec. 186.22). He has also gained formative firsthand experience preparing and conducting oppositions to motions to suppress, motions to dismiss, motions to disclose confidential informants, and motions to revoke probation. He further developed his skills as a criminal defense trial advocate with the Margolin Law Firm (now Margolin and Lawrence), a top-ranked Los Angeles criminal defense firm, from 2006-2008. By interviewing clients, investigating crime scenes, drafting motions and memoranda, creating voir dire, and creating direct and cross examination questions, Mr. Matic has developed a wide set of skills and knowledge of the legal process and necessities of criminal defense.

In 2019, Mr. Matic founded his own firm with the vision of providing aggressive, simple, yet sophisticated criminal defense in front of state and federal courts. Mr. Matic has further expanded his experience as a criminal defense attorney into that of a seasoned investor, actively trading stocks for clients, both corporate and individual.

Background, Life and Philosophy

From an early age, Joshua E. Matic always had a passion for law. Even when confronted with the opportunity to be a doctor, Mr. Matic decided instead to be an attorney who speaks for the people.

Mr. Matic began his undergraduate education at the University of California, Irvine, where he excelled at political science. By working hard, Mr. Matic was able to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in less than three years.

The courtroom is where Mr. Matic chooses to focus his talents. Through sheer dedication, hard work, and a religious reverence for the law, Mr. Matic has brought a unique charm and flow to the judicial process. While always serious, soft spoken, and aesthetically conscious, Mr. Matic still makes the legal procedure, scary words, and oppressive nature of the court, an enjoyable and educational experience. Dedicating his adult life to the accused, the down trodden, and those who toil under the yoke of the technocrats, Mr. Matic strongly believes it is his role and duty as an advocate of the people to protect all civil liberties, civil rights, and civility. This includes keeping the deep state from entering the home of its citizen. If they do, Mr. Matic will bring the state to answer for its own actions against the accused, whether with a warrant, or without. Mr. Matic believes that each person, regardless of race, creed, culture, religion, sex, preference, etc, must be afforded due process of the law. Joshua E. Matic will be your voice in the court.
